After four years of collaboration with the architects, client, and general public, the Boise Fine Arts Building had its ground-breaking in May 2017. Limestone and blue glass dress the fluid, sculptural form of this building, which is sure to become a landmark for BSU and the community.

The landscape design celebrates the form of the building, drawing visitors into central courtyards and facilitating for a social and collaborative environment. The sidewalk flares out from the heart of the plaza to connect with the existing school buildings and major pedestrian corridor. These paths also connect energy and spirit from the campus to this state of the art Visual Arts and Studio Arts facility. The linear planting scheme and rather simple planting palette echo the minimalist style of the building design, and together they orchestrate a visual and tactile symphony on the University’s campus.
